Why move to a new structure?
Neurodevelopmental Assessment and Consulting, LLC strives for fair and transparent pricing for our clients and patients. Our new structure makes clear what each type of service includes, which clinicians provide that service, and the rate for each clinician, based on their level of education and expertise. All services have a “cap,” which is the maximum charge for that service. With the increased support of AI technology to make our evaluation processes more efficient, we are hoping to reduce the time needed for evaluations, thereby lowering the cost for patients and families. This structure allows for flexibility in pricing when the maximum time is not used, while also providing up-front predictability about cost.
Are prices increasing?
Hourly rates for clinicians, for both evaluations and therapy, will be increasing to offset rising costs and cost of living expenses. In addition, all evaluations will be charged an assessment materials fee to offset the rising cost of test materials and supplies. At the same time, our office will leverage AI technology to increase efficiency of the evaluation process. As a result, the maximum cost of our evaluations in 2027 will be in a similar range to the current cost.
What type of AI technology will you be using? What role will AI play in your services?
We are currently looking into AI technology that is specifically designed for psychology practices like ours, which means that it is privacy-protected, HIPAA-compliant, and designed specifically for our purposes. AI technology may be used for adminstrative support (such as formatting, grammar, proofreading), creating data tables, summarizing records and notes from interviews, and creating an intial report draft, as examples. All AI technology will be used with human oversight, meaning that any AI-generated material will be closely and carefully reviewed by a clinician for accuracy and reliability. All clinical and diagnostic decision-making will be done by the clinician and all recommendations will be reviewed by the clinician for relevance, appropriateness, and clinical utility. Use of the AI technology will allow for quicker turnaround times for reports and will allow clinicians to spend more of their time on direct clinical care and practices, rather than on admnistrative tasks. Our goal is to increase efficiency while maintaining the quality and integrity of our evaluations and reports.
What if my evaluation starts in December 2026 but isn’t completed until January 2027? Or if I call to schedule my appointment in 2026 but it is scheduled in 2027? Will I be charged under the current pricing structure or the new pricing structure?
For evaluations, the pricing structure in effect will be based on the date of the first appointment. So if the initial interview is held on December 15, 2026, the current pricing structure will be charged for that evaluation, even if the testing dates occur after January 1, 2027. If the initial interview is held after January 1, 2027, the new pricing structure will be in effect.
For therapy services, pricing will be based on session date. For sessions held through December 31, 2026, the current pricing structure will be in effect. For sessions held on January 1, 2027 or later, the new pricing structure will take effect.
