An evaluation that is focused on factors impacting learning in the classroom. It includes an assessment of intellectual abilities, attention, academic achievement, and social/emotional functioning. Recommendations made are generally for educational purposes. Our clinicians are licensed psychologists and certified school psychologists; therefore, their evaluations can be accepted by public school districts.

This evaluation typically requires 5-6 hours of testing with the patient. The evaluation can be conducted in a single, full-day appointment or broken up over 2 half-day appointments. Neurodevelopmental Assessment & Consulting, LLC offers two different types of psychoeducational evaluations:

Standard Psychoeducational Evaluation: An evaluation that is focused on factors impacting learning in the classroom. The purpose of this evaluation is mainly to make a determination of the need for special education and related services in the educational setting. As such, it is only offered for school-age individuals. This evaluation is conducted by a certified school psychologist; therefore, the results can be accepted by public school districts in Pennsylvania.

This evaluation typically requires 5-6 hours of testing with the patient. The evaluation is typically broken up over 2 half-day appointments. Cost of the standard psychoeducational evaluation is as follows:

  • With a master’s level, certified school psychologist: $2750
  • With a doctoral level, certified school psychologist: $3250

Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation: An evaluation that offers a more in-depth look at factors affecting learning in the classroom. As with the standard psychoeducational evaluation, it includes an assessment of intellectual abilities, academic achievement, and social/emotional screeners. However, additional areas of cognitive functioning and learning are assessed, depending on the referral question and needs of the child. These areas may include additional evaluation of visual-spatial processing, language functioning (receptive, expressive, and/or social/pragmatic language), attention, executive functioning, memory and learning, and fine motor skills. The primary focus of this evaluation is to make educational recommendations; as such, it is only offered for school-age individuals. This evaluation is conducted by a certified school psychologist; therefore, the results can be accepted by public school districts in Pennsylvania.

This evaluation typically requires 7-8 hours of testing with the patient. The evaluation is typically broken up over 2 half-day appointments. Cost of the comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation is as follows:

  • With a master’s level, certified school psychologist: $3250
  • With a doctoral level, certified school psychologist: $3750
