IEEs are independent evaluations conducted outside of the public school district at the school district’s expense. These evaluations are customized and individualized based on the child or teen’s educational needs. If you have been approved for an IEE for your child, our office will contract with the school district to complete the evaluation at no expense to the family. Includes a 1-hour feedback meeting to review results with parents and the school simultaneously and a 1-hour school observation. Travel time is billed at the clinician’s hourly rate ($275-$300/hour, in 15-minute increments) for all required travel/additional observation time.
These evaluations typically require 6-8 hours of testing with the patient. The evaluation is typically broken up over 2 half-day appointments. Cost of evaluation:
- With a master’s level, certified school psychologist: $3800 + $275/hour travel (billed in 15-minute increments)
- With a doctoral level, certified school psychologist: $4250 + $275/hour travel (billed in 15-minute increments)
- With a neuropsychologist also certified as a school psychologist: $4800 + $300/hour travel (billed in 15-minute increments)
